Proposed changes to road closures for events on the TT Course in 2018

Closed 1 Mar 2018

Opened 8 Feb 2018

Overview

The Department for Enterprise and ACU Events Limited are considering trialling some changes to the road closure schedule for this year’s TT practice sessions in response to the significant delays and cancellations during the 2017 event due to the poor weather conditions.

It is not intended to alter the current racing schedule and provisions for cancellations, but it is intended to request additional emergency use closures for the afternoons of:

  • Sunday 27 May 2018
  • Friday 1 June 2018

And additionally for the Festival of Motorcycling for:

  • Sunday 19 August 2018
  • Thursday 23 August 2018
  • Friday 24 August 2018
