For views on the draft Class 12 insurance business authorisation qualifying criteria (i.e. proposals to amend the criteria by which an insurer might qualify for a reduced or simplified level of regulation under class 12 authorisation).

Respondents mainly welcomed and indicated support for our proposals. However some comments and discussions subsequently resulted in a small number of changes.

We made a small number of changes to the proposals, all of which will be consulted upon in the upcoming consultation on the draft Insurance regulations 2020.
