Overview

This Consultation Paper (‘Paper’) is issued by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority, which is the regulatory body for financial services in the Isle of Man.

Purpose

The Paper introduces the following documents:

The consultation deals with proposed changes being made to the insurance regulatory framework in respect of class 12 (captive insurers) and class 13 (insurance special purpose vehicles), as well as other miscellaneous and consequential changes.

Next steps

The Authority will be undertaking a quantitative impact study with the Isle of Man Captive Association during the consultation period.

Following closure of the consultation period on 13 July 2026, the Authority will review the responses received and publish a Feedback Statement on the Engagement Hub and the Authority’s website.
