Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (Gambling) Bill 2017
Overview
This consultation seeks any views on the Bill 2017 which seeks to provide the Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) with clear powers in law to conduct supervisory oversight of the gambling sectors compliance with AML/CFT legislation and to provide a range of effective and proportionate sanctions for non-compliance inline with international standards.
The GSC also seeks views on the GSC’s draft Enforcement Strategy which sets out the GSC’s intended approach to AML/CFT supervision and its use of the powers conferred upon it by the Bill.
Please note that views on the strategy will be subject to a more lengthy informal consultation with relevant parties and views, although welcome, need not be provided during this consultation period.
